Environmental governance
Most environmental and resource problems call not just for technological and scientific solutions but also for reforms in governance.1 2 3 4 5 However, the processes of innovation governance themselves need innovation, e.g. with regard to the integration of users into innovation processes6, learning networks across companies7 and more comprehensive processes of innovation governance that seek to reduce the overall material throughput of the economy by moving from disposable to durable products and from products to services.8 9 Innovative governance forms could also help to replenish cultural heritage in order to promote less consumerist and more healthy lifestyles.10 11
